Un mois après la précédente version, Sun nous offre une mise à jour de maintenance de leur virtualisateur de système d'exploitation alias Virtualbox et est numéroté 2.1.2.
Alors, parmi les nouveauté de la bête, on pourra noter des corrections de bugs au niveau de la gestion des machines virtuelles elles-mêmes, de l'amélioration du support de l'USB sur les dernières distributions linux ainsi que le support de Windows 7

Nouveau mois, nouvelle version, En effet Sun offre la version 2.1.4 de son logiciel de virtualisation appelé xVM Virtualbox qui comme son prédécesseur est une version de maintenance destinée à corriger quelques bugs.

Avril c'est le mois du printemps qui s'installe, des fleurs qui fleurissent etc etc... mais aussi d'une nouvelle version majeure de VirtualBox !

En effet, Sun nous offre donc une nouvelle version estampillée 2.2.0 qui apporte quelques nouveautés comme la capacité d'importer et d'exporter ses machines virtuelles, la possibilité d'allouer 16 Go de RAM sur les systèmes 64bits, le support de la 3D via OpenGL pour les machines virtuelles Linux et OpenSolaris, l'activation par défaut de l'hypervirtualisation Intel-VT/AMD-V sur les processeurs qui le supportent ainsi qu'un nouveau driver réseau "Host-only" (Attention ! Ce driver pose d'énormes problèmes actuellement ! )

Un peu moins d'un mois après la sortie de la version majeure de VirtualBox, Sun nous propose aujourd'hui la 1ère mise à jour mineure de la version 2.2.
Cette mise à jour est destinée à corriger les couacs rencontrés lors de l'installation de la 2.2 notamment les cartes réseau non détectées, le DHCP non reconnu dans les systèmes virtualisés Windows et l'ajout du support préliminaire de Mac OS X Snow Leopard pour nos chers amis adorateurs de la Pomme (en système hôte bien entendu).
