parce que MPC contient deja de nombreux filtres, dont realspliteer, un ac3filter, etc., qui lui permettent de décoder pas mal de trucs

Tout simplement parce que c'est le mieux . Il a l'air innocent comme ça sous ses airs de vieux MediaPlayer 6.4 mais il est surpuissant : Normalisation de l'audio, AC3 natif, sous-titres (donc pas besoin de VobSub), DVD, keyboard shortcuts, et il a des décodeurs natifs MPEG et autres dérivés du projet ffmpeg sous linux qui passent outre les décodeurs "standard" de windows.
Mais si il est trop minimaliste pour toi, je te recommande Zoom Player qui est très correct.
