En clair, un logiciel ultra léger (1.7 Mo et 1% CPU en lecture d'un MP3 VBR, vous voyez ça souvent vous ?), sans fioriture mais quand même doté d'une très élégante interface MFC, bâtie entièrement autour d'une Media Library, comme tout lecteur moderne se doit de l'être. Il est OpenSource, et utilise une base de données SQL (sqlite) pour permettre des recherches ultra-rapides.
En vrac, il dispose aussi de : ripper CD, crossfader, global hotkeys (miam), playlists dynamiques (re-miam), un moteur de tagging ID3 sympa, et bien sûr le support des radios en ligne.
musikCube fait partie du projet musik, et un port Linux, nommé musikBox, est en cours. Enfin un remplaçant au dépassé XMMS...
En bref, musikCube c'est bon, mangez-en.

Niveau interface, c'est clair et efficace, du tout bon. Niveau ressources, 3mo ici.
Mais niveau préférences, il n'y a pas photo. Il ne supporte absolument pas la comparaison avec foobar2000 ( son concurent direct dans le domaines des lecteurs sans fioritures ). Ca va du simple au dixuple.
Alors, avec ou sans Media Library, je reste sous foobar...
Pareil pour Foobar2000... 60 ans pour nous pondre une version 0.9... ça fait long...
Donc si ce programme est le nouveau "LE"... il va pas tarder à passer soit dans le coté payant... soit dans le coté poubelle... :rolleyes:
Mais je crois que tu te trompes en disant "avec ou sans Media Library". C'est vraiment ce qui fait la différence, et une fois qu'on s'est fait à ne plus passer par windows pour lire de la musique mais en utilisant l'outil de recherche de n'importe quel lecteur avec ML, ça change beaucoup.

La recherche des medias présents sur le hdd est rapide et la lecture des fichiers audio ne pose aucun problème. Et comme disait Whyn0t, il est très léger.
Perso, j'adopte, en gardant Winamp comme complément pour certaines extensions comme *.mpc. Faudra juste que je pense à l'utiliser
MusikCube correspond assez bien dans l'esprit à Amarok (en particulier par son moteur sqlLite)
