Une semaine après la disponibilité de la mise à jour mineure 1.6.6 de VirtualBox, Sun nous propose aujourd'hui une version majeure de son virtualisateur, qui sort donc en version 2.0.
Qui dit version majeure dit beaucoup de nouveautés. Et bien c'est le cas car Virtualbox virtualise enfin les systèmes 64 bits sur les OS Hôtes 64 bits.
Mais ce n'est pas tout, Sun rafraîchit l'interface du logiciel, en passant du toolkit QT3 à QT4 pour les versions Windows et Linux, quant à la version Mac OS X, Sun nous prévient qu'elle adopte un look Leopard.

Sun introduit également un notificateur de nouvelles versions au logiciel et ajoute le support des disques virtuels VHD de Microsoft.

Mais ce n'est pas tout, d'autres nouveautés ont été introduites et des bugs ont également été corrigés, voici une liste complète des changements :

* Shared Folders: fixed guest crash with Windows Media Player 11
* Mac OS X: Ctrl+Left mouse click doesn’t simulate a right mouse click in the guest anymore. Use Hostkey+Left for a right mouse click emulation. (bug #1766)
Virtualbox est donc disponible pour tous les systèmes existants qu'ils soient 32 bits ou 64 bits.

    Et re ! Décidément, Sun n'arrive plus à s'arrêter et nous offre (encore) une nouvelle version de virtualbox qui arrive en version 2.0.2.
    Au sommaire, des corrections de bugs en tous genres dont un bug qui affectait Ubuntu Intrepid 8.10 et les kernels 2.6.26 et supérieurs.

    La meilleure chose pour savoir ce qu'il y a de nouveau est de lire ce si formidable changelog :
