Un peu moins de 2 mois après la publication de la 1ère bêta de Firefox 3.1, la fondation Mozilla nous offre ce soir une version mise à jour avec quelques corrections de bugs (en fait une flopée), l'activation du nouveau moteur javascript par défaut ainsi que... l'intégration de la fonction de surf anonyme élégamment appelée "Private Browsing".

Naturellement d'autres fonctions ont été améliorées, comme le temps de démarrage ou la gourmandise en mémoire vive et tout ça est expliqué dans le changelog qui suit :

Firefox 3.1 Beta 2 is based on the Gecko 1.9.1 rendering platform, which has been under development for the past 7 months. Gecko 1.9.1 is an incremental release on the previous version with significant changes to improve web compatibility, performance, and ease of use:
