A quoi ça sert de flasher le bios ?

Car j'ai un portable Acer TravelMate 525TXV et dans les mises à jour sur leur site, il y a Flash BIOS.

La description est : " This flashable BIOS vR01-A4c, is intended for the TravelMate 520 series only. To install this BIOS, download the file 520bios.exe to your harddrive and double-click on the file 520bios.exe. This will prompt you to create a bootable diskette that will flash the BIOS.
This will not create a diskette under Windows Me, Windows 2000 or Windows XP."

Est-ce que cela va me permettre d'overclocker le CPU ? Chose que je ne peux pas faire en ce moment.
