Alors qu'on s'attendait à une version 5.2, c'est finalement la version 6.0 d'IconWorkshop qu'Axialis a sorti aujourd'hui.
Axialis IconWorkshop est un très puissant éditeur d'icônes et de librairies d'icônes, reconnu par beaucoup comme étant le meilleur. Il permet d'importer/exporter à partir de différents formats d'images, et peut enregistrer les icônes jusqu'au format 256*256 (format d'XP). Il convertit aussi bien sûr les icônes Mac ! Il intègre enfin un plug-in pour Photoshop.
La raison du passage à une version 6.0 est probablement la prise en charge des nouveaux formats d'icône de Windows Vista et MacOSX Tiger 10.4. On trouve aussi un nouveau pack d'objets, un tutorial sur comment les utiliser, etc.

Background floating selection
Using this command you can easily place a floating object in background of your icon. This is useful to add a shadow or a colored halo around an icon.
Copy/Paste Alpha Channels as Masks
Now you can use a grayscale mask image to apply it as Alpha Channel to an icon. Also, you can extract an alpha channel from an icon to create a grayscale mask image.
