Comme prévu après la sortie de la dernière révision de la branche 3.1, voici que la branche 3.2 fait son apparition avec un changement notable, le logiciel se nomme désormais Oracle VM Virtualbox suite au rachat de Sun par Oracle. Les nouveautés de cette version sont très nombreuses comme :

- La virtualisation expérimentale de MacOS X (uniquement sur les ordinateurs de la marque Apple)
- Une fonction d'allocation dynamique de mémoire vive d'une VM sur un système hôte 64 bits
- L'ajout/suppression à chaud de processeurs virtuels pour les systèmes invités Linux et certains invités Windows (uniquement l'ajout)
- Nouvelles fonctionnalités de l'hyperviseur
- Support de la suppression de clichés à chaud lorsque la machine virtuelle est en cours d'execution
- Support de la gestion des moniteurs multiples dans les systèmes invités Windows
- Émulation de claviers/tablettes pour une meilleure expérience utilisateur si aucun drivers invité additionnel est installé
- Émulation du contrôleur LsiLogic SAS
- Et pleins d'autres nouveautés...

* Following the acquisition of Sun Microsystems by Oracle Corporation, the product is now called Oracle VM VirtualBox and all references were changed without impacting compatibility

* NAT engine configuration via API and VBoxManage
* Use of host I/O cache is now configurable (see the manual for more information)
* Guest Additions: added support for executing guest applications from the host system (replaces the automatic system presimparation feature; see the manual for more information)
* OVF: enhanced OVF support with custom namespace to preserve settings that are not part of the base OVF standard
